Arni

The Learning Resource Centre of Arni University consists of a Central Library situated in the heart of the University. This library has contributed significantly in supplementing the class room teaching and learning by further reading. Along with a rich collection of books & e-books both students and faculty are given access to e-journals and e-books.

Library has a Digital Unit to provide access to the digital resources and maintained electronic data bases. Institutional membership of DELNET Library offer books and articles to both students and faculty. The collection of the library has been managed by Library Management Software, collection has been bar-coded and the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) can be accessed online.

To conduct research and advanced reading, AU library have access to e-journals and databases. The libraries give easy access to several web based video courses, prepared by the scholars and faculties of leading institutes of the country. These repositories are directed towards reducing any geographical barriers and ensuring that highly evolved learning environment can flourish under the umbrella of the University.

MEMBERSHIP

All students, faculty members and employees of the University are eligible for the membership of the Library.

LIBRARY SERVICES

1. CIRCULATION

The Central library strictly follows the management principle i.e. the spirit of hive. Therefore we are available from 10 AM to 4 PM for the issue and return of the books. Library follows the ticket system for the circulation of books.

2. DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICE

Document procurement service is also available from DELNET and from other document delivery service agencies, if the user is willing to bear the expenses involved.

3. REFERENCE SERVICE

The AU library maintains a separate collection consisting of Encyclopedia, Dictionaries; Reference books are marked "R" or “Reserved”. It also contains books for competitive exams.

4. REPROGRAPHY SERVICE

The AU library offers photocopying service to its members and visitors. The service is free to all staff members for official documents by just filling the Photocopy Form and duly signed by the compitative authority and for students on nominal charges. The photocopying unit is available at Reprography Section and its timings are: Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 1.30 PM and 2.00 PM - 4.00 PM.

5. CD/DVD DELIVERY SERVICE

The CD/DVD received are available in the circulation Section & the faculty can avail this service from 10 AM to 4 PM on all working days. At present library has more than 700 CD/DVDs. CD/DVDs collection available in library can be accessed on the circulation section. The collection is continuously being updated.

6. INTERNET SERVICE THROUGH DIGITAL LIBRARY

Providing latest information to its users is the primary responsibility of any modern library. To fulfill this responsibility the AU Library has made arrangement to provide Internet search access to its users. Library has connectivity with internet lab and providing Wi-Fi campus to its users.
