SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES FOR SESSION 2016-17

Note: 1. All schemes to continue even if the student gets re-appears.

          2. Only one scholarship scheme will be applicabe .

“Single Girl child Scholarship” scheme. *

a) 1st year : 50% concession on tuition fee.

    w.e.f 3rd sem: 25% concession on tuition fee.

b) Single Girls mean only single Girl child in family(Magistrate signed certificate must)

4 Merit cum means Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Minority Community. Students belonging to the Minority Groups(Muslim/ Sikh/ Christian/Budhhist) and having annual family income below Rs 2.50 Lacs, and students should have not less than 50% marks
5 Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to students belonging to Minority community Govt. / Recognized Private Schools / Colleges / Institutes, including Technical / Vocational Courses, to the students belonging to the Minority Groups (Muslim/Sikh/ Christian/Budhhist/Jain/Parsi) . The annual family income of the parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs 2.00 Lacs, and student should have at least 50% marks in the previous final examination. Student must pass the examination from Govt. / Govt. Aided institutions.
6 Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child For PG Programs i) Girl students without having any brother or the girl student who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughter may also apply for scholarship under the aforesaid scheme. In a family if one son and one daughter is available then girl child will not be considered for scholarship under the scheme.
ii) Girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in PG courses are eligible.
iii)The scheme is applicable to such single girl child who has taken admission in regular, fulltime first year Masters Degree course in any designated university or a post graduate college. This scholarship is available to PG-I year student only. iv) Admission to PG Course in Distance education mode is not covered under the scheme.
7 Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chattervrity Yojana for Post Plus Two Students The scholarship under the Indira Gandhi UttkrishtChhatravritiYojna shall be awarded to the Ten Male Toppers each from the merit list of 10+2 Arts, Science and Commerce, and to the Ten Toppers (both Male & Female) from the merit lists of B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. The rate of the scholarship would be @ Rs 10,000/- p.a. per student. The scholarship shall be renewed every year to the same student(s) till they complete degree/course, subject to the condition of achieving at least 55% marks in the subsequent classes.
8 Kalpana Chawla Chattervrity Yojana This is a State Sponsored Scheme started from the year 2012-13. Under this Scheme the top 2000 meritorious girl students of 10+2 of all study groups i.e. Science, Arts and Commerce streams. The scholarship will be renewed till the completion of Degree / Diploma / Certificate course, provided there is no failure.
9 Maharshi Balmiki Chattervrity Yojna The scholarship under this scheme is given to the Bonafide Himachali Girl Students belonging to Balmiki Families, engaged in unclean occupation, beyond Matric to College Level, for studies from any Govt. or Private Recognizedschool / college situated within Himachal Pradesh @ Rs 9,000/- p.a.
10 IRDP Scholarship Schemes Students belonging to IRDP families and studying in 9th to University level are eligible for this scholarship.
11 Finance Assistance to the children of the Armed Forces Personnel Killed/disable during the different War/operations. Children of Armed Forces Personnel killed / disabled in the different wars /operations are eligible for this assistance. In case of disability is below 50%, the children will get half scholarship. The Dy. Director Sainik Welfare Board of the respective district would be the Regulating Authority for this Scheme.
12 Arni Scholarship Any meritorious student who belongs to economically weaker section or backward area and does not fall under any of the above mentioned scholarship schemes is awarded scholarships by the University.
